The 2025 Special Olympics Nevada Truck Pull is set to return to Henderson on October 11, bringing the theme “Strength in Unity” to the Cowabunga Bay Water Park parking lot. Now in its second year, the fundraiser will see teams of eight go head-to-head pulling trucks weighing more than 40,000 pounds, all to benefit athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.
But the day isn’t just about competition. The event features a Community Village where local small businesses, nonprofits, and organizations connect families to resources—many of which go unknown or underutilized. Families will also find interactive experiences like “Touch-a-Truck,” where children can explore emergency vehicles, big rigs, and specialty trucks.

With the Truck Pull falling in October, the event doubles as a festive kickoff to the Halloween season. Kids often arrive in costume, adding a playful, carnival-like energy that makes the fundraiser accessible to families of all backgrounds. Organizers say that the goal extends beyond raising money, aiming to strengthen community bonds and highlight the value of inclusion.
Last year’s inaugural Truck Pull drew strong turnout and enthusiasm, setting the stage for an even bigger celebration this year. By blending competition, family fun, and community outreach, the 2025 Truck Pull is positioning itself as one of Nevada’s signature events for unity and inclusion.
